Summary
This gives your engine class leading low down response, and also the ability to carry the boost efficiently throughout the rev range. It’s design boost is 22psi and can be operated efficiently from 14 – 28psi. Fitting a boost controller and boost gauge will allow you to increase boost over the preset 18psi.

Performance Expectations
Standard the TD42 produces ~380Nm of engine torque and ~89rwkW. With a Grunter turbo combined with a customised tune of the factory injection pump (while in car), you can expect 420-450nm of engine torque and 115-150rwkW. Installations with a large intercooler, 3” exhaust, custom injection pump and an upgraded air box and feed to turbo have yielded results as high as 165wkW and torque over 700nm at the crankshaft.

Supporting Modifications
This Grunter is available with a round mouth 3.5” entry and 2” exit. The oil line fitting we supply with the turbo consists of a JIC 4mm connector for the pressure feed and a ¾” hose tail for the outlet drain.
